Resumes
We’d recently published a job posting for PHP/MySQL work. Riddler told me we received no good resumes, so I ended up suggesting maybe I should do it (with a caveat of needing time to learning).
Riddler’s response was to call Basil and get him to quote the project.
Basil is the guy who did our original product web site programming. He is the guy Riddler referred to as ‘takes too long, costs too much, am not impressed with his work, don’t want to use him any more’. But he now wants to offer him this project now. argh.
Basil is the guy who had his accountant call and scream at me because I was the only person they could get through to on our wonderful answering service, and because he still hadn’t been paid for work done 4 months previously.
The decision-making logic is astounding. Or is it confounding? I don’t know.
